Welcome

Freemasonry is one of the world’s oldest and largest non-religious, non-political, fraternal and charitable organisations. It is open to any man of mature age (21 years) and of good standing.

Freemasonry means different things to each of those who join. For some, it’s about making new friends and acquaintances and for others it’s about being able to help deserving causes but for most, it is an enjoyable hobby.

Freemasonry teaches self-knowledge through participation in a progression of ceremonies which can be learnt by heart and performed within each Lodge – these follow ancient forms using the customs and tools associated with stone masons of ancient times as allegorical guides.

Freemasonry bases its values on a moral and ethical approach to life founded on strong friendship between fellow Freemasons together with honesty, kindness and charity within society but with family life being at all times paramount.

All members are encouraged to speak openly about Freemasonry.
